Memorandum of Association

The purpose of the HASTINGS DISTRICT FLYING CLUB is to provide, on a non-profit basis, facilities and activities for the association of people interested in the promotion and development of aviation. Further, to encourage air-mindedness and interest in aviation in the youth of the Hastings district.

Assets and income of the Association shall be applied solely to the furtherance of the above objective. No portion thereof shall be distributed directly or indirectly to the members of the Association, except for the bona fide compensation of services rendered or expenses incurred.

The liability of individual members of the Association toward the debts and liabilities  of the Association, or the costs, charges and expenses in the event of a winding up of the Association, is limited to the amount unpaid by the member in respect of his or her membership and any other monies owed to the Association.

In the event of the Association being dissolved, the amounts remaining after the satisfaction of all debts and liabilities shall be transferred to another non-profit organisation with similar objectives.
